A Derby porcelain figure of Neptune,  He is standing on a rock mound covered in seaweed and brightly coloured seashells, a long side him is a dolphin which has water cascading from its mouth. In his left hand he is holding a gold plated trident .The base has  incised number  299 and a star for Isaac Farnsworth who was employed as a repairer and an over looker and the  figure was made in 2 sizes and this is number 2).

Neptune was the Roman God of the sea, fresh water. He is a key figure in Roman mythology, brother to Jupiter and Pluto.

Date; Circa 1760-70

The trident is a modern gold plated replacement.

Size; height 21cm (8.25 inches) (25cm including the  trident)

Condition; Restoration to right arm and chips to the cloak
