A Staffordshire pottery fan shaped probably “Neale & Co” asparagus server with pierced sides and decorated top edge and base in hand painted feathered brush strokes with green enamel’s.
Pottery and Porcelain asparagus servers were created to elevate the elegance of a refined dinning experience to a higher level .Asparagus, was considered a luxurious and fashionable food this seasonal delicacy in the nineteenth century led to the development of specialized serving tools, including silver tongs, plates, and platters.
