Description

A  Worcester porcelain bell shaped mug, printed in black with a portrait of the King of Prussia (Frederick the Great). The portrait shows him pointing towards the trophies of war and flags inscribed with the names of his battles. The back of the mug is printed with ‘fame’ blowing trumpets. It has a moulded loop handle. It has a printed RH monogram for Robert Hancock and is dated 1757.

Frederick the Great was the King of Prussia from 1740-1786.

Condition; Fine Hire line crack restored by the handle.
